Err I hope this is the right section. Wanted to start a thread to discuss scripts and custom HUDs. (image is of my HUD, I'm happy to share if there is interest)

I have been fiddling around with customizing and thought I'd share what I've done and what I've learned. I got frustrated with fumbling around when trying to switch weapons, but with the custom binds its not a problem for me anymore! Especially helpful for those of us with mice that "only" have 3 buttons. :)

Default config files feature:

-P for quickselect menu
-I for inspect
-O to use action slot item
-F for melee (except for medic which switches to medigun, and shotgun/flaregun for pyro)
-Left and Right arrows to turn (this is not useful at all but I find it hilarious to stand in place and rotate :p)

voice commands:
-H to spam SPY!!
-Q to thank your medic (R for spy and engy)
-Shift+mouse1 for yes, shift+mouse2 for nope.avi

-All jumps are crouch-jumps (regular jump is re-bound to ALT)
-Hold down mouse3 to swing melee, lifting switches back to primary weapon.

CLASS-SPECIFIC:

ENGY-
- mousewheel switches between primary and secondary only
- F1-F4 for buildings
- mouse3 is for gunslinger engies, holding it down destroys sentry if already built, places a new one down, and switches back to previous weapon
- B activates a sentry-jumping script to take your sentry with you, its not terribly practical but kind of fun. You need to have the wrangler out for it to work, and it won't work properly on servers that have the wait command disabled. For best results stand on top of your sentry to go straight up, or directly behind it to launch yourself up and backward.

MEDIC-
- mousewheel switches between primary and melee for battle!medic
- F for medigun
- R for needlegun
- Mouse2 activates uber, if medigun is not out it will switch to it for you, drops intel if you're carrying it

PYRO-
- mousewheel switches between primary and secondary only
- F for shotty/flaregun
- R for jeering :p Pyro goes HNNNNNNNN

SCOUT-
- mousewheel switches between primary and secondary only

SOLLY-
- mousewheel switches between primary and secondary only

DEMOMAN/SNIPER-
- I dont play them much so only change is F for melee

SPY-
- Spy and Engy are the classes that benefit most from custom configs but since I dont play spy I don't have any here. SORRY
- ok actually mousewheel scrolls between weapons and not disguise menu.

These files all go in ../steamapps/yourusername/teamfortress2/tf/cfg folder. Needs fast weapon-switching enabled to work.
